Manchester #1

Yesterday I went to Manchester with a couple of my dearest friends. We went around the Northern Quarter handing around CVs to our favourite bars and cafes - after deciding to take a gap year to decide fully what I want to and to save up a bit more money finding a job or perhaps two part time ones is crucial! - had an unavoidable look around Boots on Market Street and then went for lunch and a much needed teapig at my favourite and most visited little cafe for the past 4 years Nexus. I didn't make any notable purchases or do anything really exciting but it's so nice to get the chance to catch up with friends and I am absolutely in love with my city.

Above: my wonderful friend Kerrianne because attractive as per ;)

Have any of you ever visited Manchester or even live there? It would be amazing to meet more people and find bloggers I love that are local to me. If any of you are planning on visiting Manchester I highly recommend a trip to Nexus art cafe, it's such a lovely place, the staff are wonderful and of course the food is to die for!

All in all I had a fantastic day out. What's your favourite city?

Guest Posting!

Hello lovelies! Although I haven't been on the blogging scene for very long at all I've managed to get myself a place guest blogging on Sophie Bolton's blog. I was honestly surprised that she wanted to take me on for the job (along with a good few other lovely ladies - if you visit Sophie's blog now you will find a couple of the other guest blogs already up!) but I got it and she honestly seemed really pleased to have me doing it!

I'm not going to give anything away as come Saturday 6th July my guest post will be up on air, but I highly recommend you check out the other guest posts and also Sophie's posts - she is a lovely girl and runs a lovely blog!

Short and sweet post but I thought I'd keep you all up to date. Once my post is online I'll have a link up on this blog.

Wishlist June '13

I am very sorry about the shoddy, rushed looking post. After finding all of the products I wanted and gathering them all in one place I couldn't wait to get it up! I'll probably edit the images at a later date but for now, here's my June wishlist and also my first wishlist!

1. Origins Zero Oil
I've had my eye on this for quite a while. I do have quite oily/combination skin and sometimes I find my foundation just starts to look slippery and shiny - and not in the glorious glowing sort of way. This promises to keep your face looking matte all day so is definitely something I need to get my hands on.

2. Topshop Lipstick in WHIMSICAL
Being one of those ladies who has far too many reds and dark shaded lipsticks this is definitely something I'd like purchase, and at the price you certainly can't complain. I've heard many good things about the Topshop makeup range so it's about time I tried some out for myself.

3. Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer
I desperately need to get my hands on a great primer and this is one of the main ones I had in mind (alongside Benefit's POREfessional). This primer claims to blur any blemishes, which is an absolute must for me, as well as giving your skin a lovely glow.

4. Topshop Blush Stick in ACTING UP
I've been wearing pretty pink blusher for far too long - time for me to branch out. Considering I've never tried an orange/coral blusher before I don't want to be forking out as there is a chance I may not like it, so this fairly priced product is high on my wishlist.

5. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Rose Ivory
I've heard this mentioned so much, particularly by Kate who runs gh0stparties, and I've been looking for a new foundation. This full coverage foundation appears to be right up my street. Also, as I sometimes suffer from dull, tired looking skin this should hopefully give me a bit more of a perked up look!

6. MAC Lipstick in Pure Zen
I literally don't think I can say anything other than the fact that I need more shades of lipsticks and I absolutely adore this colour. It's a pale pink nude that I just think is to die for. My slightly girly side coming through, perhaps?

7. MAC Lipstick in creme d'nude
Another MAC beauty on my lipstick. I absolutely love wearing lipstick but I don't always want lips that jump off my face screaming, so this shade is perfect for that. Subtle, elegant colour. I'm also looking at grabbing creme cup for a similar effect!

8. Origins Drink Up Intensive
Yet something else I've seen mentioned by Kate (as well as about 1000 others). This is an overnight mask/moisturiser designed to hydrate and rejuvenate skin, leaving it fresh and supple come the morning. Keeping skin hydrated is key when looking at maintaining a youthful complexion, and there's nothing wrong with trying to stop the signs of ageing this early - at 18 I don't think I'm at much risk of developing grows feet!

Have you tried any of these products?
